Terms of Use

This is a small, free quiz site, so these are small, free-quiz-sized terms. No dense legal wall — just what we expect from you, and what you can reasonably expect from us.

Last updated: 11 July 2026

The short version

How Well You Know Me is a toy. You answer ten questions about yourself, you send the link to your friends, they find out how badly they were paying attention. That's the whole product. It costs you nothing, it makes us nothing, and it exists because it's fun.

So the deal is simple: be decent to other people, don't try to break the thing, and please don't assume your quiz will be sitting here forever. We'd like it to be. We can't promise it.

Using the site

By using knowsme.fun — creating a quiz, playing someone else's, or just poking around — you're agreeing to these terms. If any part of them doesn't work for you, the fix is easy: don't use the site. There's nothing to cancel and no account to close, because there aren't any accounts.

The site is free and provided as-is. We're not selling you anything, we're not holding anything of yours hostage, and we're not promising a service level. You get what's on the screen.

Your quizzes and content

Anything you write — your name, your custom questions, your answer options — stays yours. We don't claim ownership of your words. What you are doing when you hit create is asking us to store that quiz and show it to anybody who has the link. That's the only permission we need, and it's the only one we take.

In return, don't put anything here that's illegal, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit. Don't share another person's private information without their consent — someone's phone number, address, or secrets are not a quiz question. And don't impersonate anyone. Making a quiz under a friend's name to embarrass them isn't a prank here, it's just a thing we'll delete.

Quizzes are public by link

This one matters, so we'll say it plainly. There are no accounts and no passwords on this site. A quiz is protected by exactly one thing: nobody knowing its link. The second that link is out — forwarded, screenshotted, pasted into a group chat — anyone who has it can play it and land on the leaderboard next to your friends.

Treat every quiz you make as public. Write it as if a stranger could read it, because a stranger might.

Acceptable use

Normal human use is anything you'd do with your actual friends. Outside of that, please don't:

We can remove content

If a quiz or a leaderboard entry breaks these rules, or somebody reports it and we agree, we'll delete it. We may do that without warning you first. There's no appeals process and no committee — it's a free quiz site, and the moderation policy is roughly "would a reasonable person be upset by this."

Advertising

The site shows ads through Google AdSense. That's what pays for the hosting and the database, and it's why the quiz itself is free with no upsell. Our Privacy Policy explains how ad cookies work and what you can do about them.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is." It might go down. It might lose data. Features might change or disappear. We're not guaranteeing that your quiz, your link, or your leaderboard will still be here next month.

Also — and we mean this sincerely — the scores are entertainment. A friend scoring 3/10 has not failed you. They just don't know your favourite pizza topping. The badge on the results screen is a joke with a font, not a verdict on your relationship.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss, damage, or hurt feelings arising from your use of this site — including lost quizzes, lost data, downtime, or anything someone else writes here. This is a free quiz toy given away for nothing, and the responsibility that comes with it is sized accordingly.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant, it'll be obvious — this isn't the kind of site that buries things in a subclause.
